Restoration Services

Plante Model Shipwrights are committed to the preservation of ship models. Restoring a model of any size or style is very special to us since the models obviously are from clients who treasure them. Perhaps they were built by a family member or have an historical signifance.

We strive to restore the model in keeping with the original builder's style. Painting and repair techniques we use blend in with the original model so that its character is not compromised.

Our clients leave with a wonderful heirloom (usually encased for future protection) or a model that would be very valuable to a collector.

It has always been, to us, a true joy to prolong the life of another's craft.
