Since 1984 Jim and Lynda Plante of Plante Model Shipwrights have built and restored hundreds of ship models. Our ship models, dioramas and restorations can be found in private homes, corporate offices and museums across the United States, Canada and Europe.
Our commitment to authenticity has taken us around the globe to research each subject before beginning construction. The exteriors of our models are crafted with exotic woods, ancient whalebone or ivory. Each plank is painstakingly cut, each yardarm turned and rigging lines carefully threaded and tied in our Rehoboth Massachusetts workshop. |
